Need a hand?

Most things are answered below. If yours isn't, drop me a message — a real person reads it, usually same day.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need an account to use it?

No. Sign in with Apple is optional — tap "Continue without signing in" and the whole app works as a guest. If you do sign in, it stays on your device; there's no server on my end.

Where does my data live?

On your phone. When you're signed in to iCloud, it also rides along in your own iCloud so it shows up on your other Apple devices — but that's your iCloud, not my server.

Is it really free?

Yes — the full app, free, no ads and no trackers. If premium features arrive later they'll be a clearly-labelled option; nothing you rely on today gets taken away.

Why didn't I get a reminder?

Usually a permissions thing:

  • Open iOS Settings → Notifications → HabitWing and allow them.
  • Check the habit's reminder is switched on with a time set.
  • For the daily nudges, look under Settings → Daily Check-ins.
  • A powered-off or Focus/Do-Not-Disturb phone can hold delivery.
How does Apple Health fit in?

Only if you allow it. HabitWing syncs sleep, water, and calories both ways — it reads them to auto-fill matching habits, and when you log one of those in the app it saves that back to Health so both stay in sync. It happens on your device, it's never sold or used for ads, and you can turn it off in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → HabitWing.

Are my journal entries and voice notes private?

Completely. They're saved on your device (and your own iCloud if sync is on). Voice notes are recorded and kept locally with the entry — nothing is uploaded to me.

Does it sync across my devices?

Yes — automatically. As long as both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account (in iOS Settings), your habits sync through your own private iCloud and show up on each device. I never see it. Signing into HabitWing with Apple is separate and doesn't move data on its own.

Does it work offline?

Yes. HabitWing doesn't make network calls of its own — the only connections are Apple's (iCloud sync when you're signed in to iCloud, and the App Store). You can use it fully in airplane mode; it'll sync up next time you're online.

Is HabitWing medical advice?

No. The habits, meditations, and breathing exercises are for general wellbeing, not medical or mental-health advice. If a breathing exercise makes you feel dizzy or unwell, stop, and talk to a professional for health decisions. More in the Terms of Use.
